It wasn’t tyranny that dragged the island under;
it was the warm comfort of denial,
the soft laughter that drowned out the truth,
the millions who chose to stay home
when their voices were needed most.
This EP is not about the moment the island fell,
caused by every moment its people told themselves
“it’s fine, it’s nothing, it’s far away,”
until there was nothing left to save.
